Uses for artist oils.

Hi Gang, I've found that artist oils are very well suited for
wood grained finises on WWI a/c. I also use them for blending to enhance
faded surfaces. I like the fact that they are partialy transparent and tend
to pick up the tone of the base color. I also use them to paint out the
instrument panels as they dry-brush quite well. I first started useing them
at the suggestion of a friend who paints figures. It payed off. My models
have a completly different look to them.
There is a lot of flexibility with the oils. You can shade a model
in such a way as to make it appear to be sitting in the sun at a certain
angle to the light. The limit is really with your imagination.
