When I use Testor's enamels as a base color coat I always
let them cure for AT LEAST three days before I apply any
lacquer clear cotes. A week is better. This allows time for
the chemical reaction that produces the hard enamel finish
to occur.

I have been using Xtracolor paints and the new Floquil lacquers
instead of Testor's paints. They are much much much better
for air brushing. They have finer pigments and don't clot
the nozzle like Testor's paints do. They also thin well
with cheapo lacquer thinner I buy by the quart from local
hardware stores.
