- Austro-Hungarian Army Aircraft of World War One by Peter Grosz,
Georgeiener and Air Aces of the Austro-Hungarian Empire 1914-1918
by Dr. Martin O'Connor are both published by Flying Machines
Press, 35 Chelsea Street, Stratford CT 06497, USA. They are
beautifully written and produced books, with outstanding writing,
and superb production qualities (archival paper, photo and color
reproduction, the way these books are physically manufactured)
Bottom line is that these book are outstanding in every respect.
- Flying Machines Press's US $ prices for Austro-Hungarian Army
Aircraft of World War I is $84.95 (plus $6.05 for UPS shipment to
a "lower 48" US addresses); Air Aces of the Austro-Hungarian Empire
1914-1918 lists for $49595 plus $4.05 for loweer 48 UPS shipment.
They offer a package deal of both books for $134.90 for US
residents (i.e., free shipping). Their US dollar prices to
Canadian residents are US$94.50 for Austro-Hungarian Army Aincraft and US$55.00for Air Aces or both books for US$139.50. International Mail

- Flying Machines Press is releasing two more books this Spring:
-- High in the Empty Blue by Alex Revell is the history of 56
Squadron RFC/RAF in WWI. It will include 430 photos, 8 pages of
color illustrations (15 aircraft, including Voss's Dr.I, shown in
correct colors for the first time), 1/48 three-view drawings of
the S.E. 5 and S.E. 5a; and 21 appendices covering all squadron
personnel, aircraft, aerodromes, victories, casualties, etc. The
book is 456 pages long and is printed on acid-free paper. Through
31 March, it's available at a pre-Publication Special price of US
$45,including shipping in North America or US$50.00 international

-- The Aviation Awards of Imperial Germany in World War I and
the Men Who Earned Them, Volume IV--The Aviation Awards of the
Kingdom of. O'Connor. List price (after 31 March) will be

shipping.
- A third book, The Imperial Russian Air Service, is due for
release this fall (price not yet available); it will have 500
photos, includes 48 pages of color illustrations. I expect it to
benear the Austro-Hungarian book in price.
