Not sure if it matters in your product development but this 7kg limit is only
in present FAI competition and doesn't apply in any other scale competition.
Further, it's likely that before you have any products on the market, this
limit
will be raised to some heavier upper limit for plane weight. Discussions are
already taking place and I believe there are even a couple formal proposals
floating around.
