I can't answer for 1/48th. Contrail does it for me in 1/72nd,
though. And if I need a thinner strut I'll either scratchbuild it,
or stretch Contrail. I am thinking of going towards brass for
strength. Not only stronger than plastic, but easier to work with
than metal.

Has anybody tried Strutz yet? And if so, from where did you get it?
