With the death of Frank Ryder and his family a few days before
Christmas 1994, the First Warplanes effectively ceased to be. The
operating costs were twice the membership income. Frank made no provisions
for The First Warplanes in his will. Some attempts are being made
to restructure the thing under a new name, but without a driving
force like Frank behind it, and a boatload of money..........

Sad state of affairs.......
