Hi folks, Kevin Witte got me hooked up with this mailing lst after seeing my
1/48th Alb.DIII that I've been working on for the last few months.

_Really_ glad to find a WWI modelling group to correspond with, can't tell you
how many times I've wished for a place to ask some question or other that I
couldn't solve from staring at drawings and photos.

As to my email address, I've always had a liking for old Werner;-) However,
the real
reason it it's my handle in Air Warrior, and Voss or Vossman is how most
people know
me across the internet, GEnie, and CRIS.

As I said, I've been working on a 1/48th Alb.DIII. I started with the Tom's
Modelworks
vac-form, but as I got into it I found so many problems that it's basically
scratchbuilt, with only the (still much modified) wings and tail surfaces
surviving from the kit.

I'm pretty hapy with it overall, the engine came out real well (every valve
spring in
place), and I managed to get all the control wires in place and hooked up to
the stick
correctly. That was a real head-scratcher, and I can tell you the process of
getting them all in place and tensioned as I closed and glued the fuselage
halves was rather exciting.

The fuselage itself is resin, cast around cross sections I took from drawings.

Anyway, nice to be here!
