Hi, Jess,

I'm working on Kraut's DVII at the moment myself, and there
are a couple of problems with the colour scheme. *As far as I know* there
is only one photo extant, which [of course] is not entirely clear. I'm
posting from work at the moment, so all my stuff is at home, but there
was a colour drawing of that aircraft in a mag. I bought recently, and
even that is at considerable variance with the photo.
I'll try to get back to you from home over the weekend, but I'd
be interested in comparing notes on what you've got.
BTW, I'll be using the Revell kit------I've got a soft spot
for it 80)

Not quite sure what you mean.

Certainly the ventilation panels were modified and extended on
later aircraft, and varied according to manufacturer, but the basic metal
cowl structure was retained.... and was sometimes painted with the same
olive colour as the fabric.
Again, we'd need to look at a particular aircraft.

Likewise. I'll get back to you.

cheers,

Mick.
