I have this book. I also have a copy of Aircraft Archive of WWI that
features very nice 1/72 drawings and photos of the FK8.

What other scale would you _possibly_ contemplate using? Are you crazee,
man? I can send you copies of the drawings enlarged to the proper 1/48
scale along with the Munson drawing. Send me your address.

The cross section drawings do make it look rather slab sided. The only
compound curve on the fuselage appears to be the turtle decking behind
the observer's station. The engine is enclosed by flat panels on the
early models.

Looks like a good candidate for a first scratchbuild. Have you seen the
book, "Scratchbuild! A Celebration of the Static Scale Airplane
Modeller's Craft" by John Alcorn, George Lee, and Peter Cook? Highly
recommended to all modeller's whether you plan to scratchbuild or not.
