FAI still awards these bonus points and the very thing you said about Heavy
Metal Pilots complaining about the unfairness is true.

I think that the thing that started this conversation though was not so much
changing the way the Masters works but by creating the western equivalent of a
contest oriented to WWI scale anf leave all the arguements about unfair period
advantages out of it.

Larry and I have kicked this competition horse to death repeatedly and still
haven't come close to really having any kind of solution that more then 10
people at a time would be happy with :-).

As to whether magazine coverage would create a bigger contingent of WWI it
might interest a few people but you'll just have to relize us WWI modellers are
eccentric :-)
