1) Consistency. I have found that using Testors' Model Master Metallizer
Thinner to be best for thinning Humbrol. I get very smooth coats with
this.

2) Tins, mixing. Big pain, but I just drop two stainless steel nuts or BBs
in, and shake the hell out of it (while sealed, of course).

3) Tins, extracting. I use either the droppers that Testors makes, for mixing
paints, or just plastic straws. I use straws regardless of the brand of
paint-- Humbrol, Testors, Polly Scale and Floquil. I never try to pour from
the bottle.
