SE5a in AWM

Hi, guys,

Further to my earlier post: this aircraft [C9539] appears
on p. 41 of Schaedel's book.
Caption reads: "SE5a, serial C9539, of 'C' Flight leader Capt. H. G.
Forrest comes to grief on Savy aerodrome in France in March 1918. Forrest
was very successful against the enemy in this machine during the opening
days of the German offensive at this time."

Hmmmm.....looks like he wasn't too successful at landing it, though.

BTW, I've just been looking at the AWM pics: superb!
....I suppose you all want the ~36 close-ups I took of the Pfalz....
and ~24 I took of the Albatros?
