Just to clarify: The character "B" is actually the third letter in the
Cyrillic alphabet, and is pronounced "Vuh" ("veh" is not quite right).
Thus, the Windsock author was trying to make clear (I think) that this was
the third machine in the series, not a variation of the second ('B' machine;
Cyrillic does have a "Be" character, somewhat like a lower-case Latin 'b').

goes "Ah" "Beh" (short vowel) "Vuh" "Geh" "Duh".....

or 'A' 'B' 'V' 'G' 'D'.....
