I'm not sure what engine it had (Clerget?), but either Atlee has one,
or wait for it. I've heard wonderful things about Atlee's
conversions/parts. I have the early BMW conversion for the DML
D.VII, and, although it's resin, it looks and feels like injected.
Nothing to cut out, very little flash - if any at all - and the
detail is astounding. When I get around to the other 1/48th kits I
have (shh...don't tell Steve...) I definitely plan on buying Atlee's
engines, seats, and anything else they make *for those kits I have*.
I seriously hoping he (Gary Atlee) comes out with a Mercedes and a
*full* BMW - the engine that comes with the conversion is just the
cylinder heads.
