For Lewis, Vickers and Parabellum I use Aeroclub right out of the bag. For
Spandau I use the Aeroclub for the body and cut off the barrel, glue in
brass rod for the barrell and use a PE jacket around it. Dip the whole
thing in blacken-it or similar. Maximum beauty from the PE without all of
the work of making the body by hand. Expensive though.
