Pets of all age groups, too!
You forgot:
You can blend into obscurity with the couple hundred or so 109s, 190s, P-51s,
etc. from that "other" conflict.
>Advantages of 1/72:
>
> More subject matter
> Lower prices
> Older IPMS judges can't see that detail you missed, but give the award
> to a 1/48 FW-190 anyway
Also:
You can fit more in a box, meaning that you have more parts to choose from
when you drop the box on the way to the car.
1/72 is just the right scale to let the spiders in your basement rig the
planes on your behalf.
And, for those of us local to Denver:
You can scratchbuilt everthing from the control stick to the pushrods on
the cylinders, and there will always be "Mr. 1/72", Derek Brown, to top
you.
