WW I Kits

Matt, etal,

I agree.
I build (dare I say?....) WW II German and WW II Japanese 1/72 scale
aircraft too in addition to my German/A.H. 1/72 WW I aircraft and I
must say that there IS NO COMPARISON in the quality & quantity of the
available kits and support references, decals and so on! And the 1/48
scale stuff dwarfs even that!

I also agree that our numbers don't make for state of the art releases
by the biggies (Hasagawa, etc.). (I think this WW I modeling list of
ours has less than 100 subscribers worldwide for example). I would
further guess that the overwhelming majority of "Over the Front" and
"WW I Aero" and "Cross & Cockade Intl." subscribers ARE NOT modelers.

I'll also admit (begrudgingly!) that 95% of my related frustration
with this situation is just simply that I'm jealous. That green eyed
monster is a tough one to get past. "Gads!, why is Fujimi bringing out
that 12th state of the art 1/48 F-18A Hornet kit when we *STILL* don't
have a decent 1/72 Fokker Dr.I !?!?!?!" (to name one possible -
likely? - scenario).

Why must a *vacform* kit (Sierra Scale) be the only accurate 1/72
Albatros D.III !?!

Heck!, I'd be happy if only Eduard would shrink their 1/48 scale line
to 1/72!

I could go on (and I do, right John R.?), Blah, blah, blah....

But on the other hand, I *DO* like to whine, so....:-)
