Well, I've built the KP kit, and did a *little* research, since I was
only able to find a little on it.

It was a total Czech machine, made in the early '20s. The first
machine (and I don't think there were more than a few) participated
in either a world-wide race, or a race sponsored by the Czech
government.

It's a neat plane; reminds me of a Junkers D.I. The kit isn't too
bad. A little clean up, add some cockpit bits (imagination needed
here) and replace the struts, and you've got a neat little model. I
went a little further and added brass etched "grilling" for the
under-fuselage radiator. Heck, I got the kit for $1.00, and my
thinking at the time I started it (right after I bought it) was that
I don't want this box (model) sitting around - since the box was
crushed - so I'll build it. Took me two weeks, I believe.

Not WW1, but not too far off. If you've got the KP 1/72nd scale kit,
good luck. If not, then someone else makes this plane?

Matt
