A few years ago, Dan San-Abbott presented a proposal in the form
of a small three view that idicated the Udet Dr-1 to be Red/turquoise
strips on the body and upper wing, the red LO marking and some other
details.

The counter proposal supports that the Udet Stiped Dr-1 was Ex- Kirschstein
in black and white stripes ( the flying optical illusion).

My study of prints made from the original negatives of some views of
this plane and Kirschstein's support the Balck-WHite scheme.

Of course in WW1 there's no such thing as a sure thing !!!!
