SPAD 12 Images
Dave Calhoun sent in the following drawing: "Here's a drawing I was able
to get from a copy of the SPAD 12 manual. There were no photos of the
interior, but this drawing has measurements in cm, so you can scale it down by
dividing by the appropriate amount. The drawings are not to scale, the nose in
the drawing is too short when compared to the drawings in Windsock. The sizes
should be accurate though. It uses a Deperdussin system, using a steering
wheel mounted to an inverted 'u' shaped control column with the cannon breech
below the wheel. Unfortunately I haven't found a photo or drawing from the
pilot's view showing how many spokes are on the steering wheel.
