DH.4

Kit: Roden (1:72)

Here is my first published effort, Roden's Airco (de Havilland) D.H.4 w/ Rolls-Royce engine. I chose to model option #3, complete with two 230 lb. bombs. This aircraft, A7422, is erronously said to belong to 57 Squadron RFC in Roden's instructions as well as on the boxart, but according to "De Havilland Aircraft of World War One, Volume 1: D.H.1 - D.H.4" by Colin Owers, a photos shows this a/c and the caption records it as belonging to 110 Squadron RFC. When I first chose this version I had yet to find a photo of the plane, so some details, mainly the covers over the cylinder heads were left off. Othe then tha detail I like how it looks so far and will send in more photos when its completed.
