Albatros D.I

Kit: Roden (1:72)

Built this model mostly oob exept some additional details in the cockpit. Painting with Humbrol and Revell colors and the decals are the horrible thick and unflexible ones from the kit. Rigging is heat streched Q-tip.

Fokker D.VII

Kit: Revell (1:72)

Mostly out of the box. I scatched some interior details as well as the engine and a new exhaust. The white Goering color scheme was a good training playground for brush painting.

Fokker D.VIII/E.V

Kit: Roden (1:72)

Added here some scrached cockpit details. Lozenge decals are from Techmod the others are from the kit. The zick-zack is handpainted as the decal broke. The Spandaus are the old PE ones from Eduard.

Fokker D.VII

Kit: MAC (1:72)

Built the model at the same time as the old Revell Fokker D.VII. It is very easy to build oob. Only the raven among the chickens decal is far to big for 1:72 scale.

PKZ-2

Kit: Roden (1:72)

Funny model of the strange austrian helicopter. Rigging is copperwire. Didn't use the national marking from the kit.

Pfalz E.I

Kit: HR Models (1:72)

Lots of efforts were necessary to make the kitparts look like a airplane model. Rigging is copperwire, the same I used to scratch the spoked wheels.

Pfalz E.IV

Kit: ICM (1:72)

There's alot to do with the ICM Pfalz E.IV as the kit based on their Fokker E.IV kit. I've corrected the overall dimensions. The wing span was enlarged as well as the fuselage was shortened. The cowl is completely scratched. The PART PE parts for the cockpit details were not a big help, because they also are based on the Fokker E. IV. Painting was done with brush and Humbrol/Revell enamels. Rigging is 12/0 Unithread.

Phönix D.IIa

Kit: MAC (1:72)

This is a D.IIa of the K.u.k Marine.

This is one of the easy to assemble kits. I had on the cockpit and engine area some fitting problems but no more than usually. I really enjoyed the building and painting of the model. And the result ... just look!

SSW D.IV

Kit: Eastern Express (1:72)

Built this model straight oob. The only exeptions were some scatched cockpit details to fill the empty space and the use of the original Toko decals for the lozenge at the wing under sides. It was one of my fastest builts with only three week. I'm not really convinced with the result but it got a second place once at the Swedish nationals. It seems not to be the worst model ever.
