This is a 1:16 scale scratch built Salmson 2A2, being built for the same museum as the Tommy: "Wings Over the Rockies". This time I was asked to use metal and plastic instead of wood, so that it will last 100 years or more. The initial work started on 4-12-00 and was based on the drawings on pages 91-93 of the book "Scale Aircraft Drawings, Vol. I - World War I".
After nearly five years my 1:16 scale scratchbuilt Salmson 2A2 is finally finished.
