Kit: Guillow's (1:20)

Back in August of 2003 I just "had" to build a model of the 1903 Wright Flyer in recognition of the 100th anniversary of the flight. It seemed to me that a balsa and tissue model would be cool because the wings would be translucent like the real thing. It would also be educational for my grandchildren. They couldn't have cared less. Kids. After enjoying it for a while I decided it wasn't doing anybody any good hanging in my basement, so I took it to our local museum so "the whole world" could see it. Yeah, right. One of the staff thought I was giving it to her personally and hung it in her office. Oh well.
