1/72 Revell kit.

Cockpit basis is a "Roseparts" models fold-up photo-etched set. Additional
detailing accomplished with styrene sheet, rod, stripe, stretched sprue, wire,
and photo-etched seat belts.

Engine was replaced with a correctly sized resin "Xtraparts" Mercedes 160 Hp
piece. Additional piping, etc. was installed from styrene rod stock. Cowling
was re-configured to early Fokker built standards by sanding off the kit
cowling detail, building up panels and cowl top from .005 (panels) and .040
(top) styrene and flattened styrene rod scratch built louvers.

Control surfaces were all cut out and re-positioned in operating status.

Struts all replaced with scratchbuilt and/or "Contrail" strut stock material.

Lozenge camouflage and National markings are "Americal/Gryphon decals", balance
of the markings are Superscale and others.

Paints are "Humbrol" exclusively. Weathering is with pastels and "Prismacolor"
colored pencils.

Rigging is from stretched sprue, fixed with white glue and painted.
Fokker D.VII (OAW)

Scratchbuilt cockpit, using plastic sprue, rod, strip, sheet, & wire details.

Modified "Aeroclub" Mercedes 160hp white metal engine replaces undersized kit
item. Cowling enlarged and exhaust piping replaced.

All control surfaces were cut out and repositioned.

Jasta 18 commander's markings of the mother hen being followed by the baby
chicks is hand painted on clear decal film. The balance of decals are
"Americal/Gryphon" items.

All struts were replaced with Contrail strut stock, and others greatly thinned
to more of a scale thickness.

Rigging is painted stretched sprue. Control horns are plastic rod - reshaped -
replacing kit details.

Paints are Pactra Int'l., Humbrol, & Testors. Weathering was done using
airbrush (two shades of red), pastels, and "Berol/Prismacolor" colored pencils.

Cockpit basis is a "Roseparts" models fold-up photo-etched set. Additional
detailing accomplished with styrene sheet, rod, stripe, stretched sprue, wire,
and photo-etched seat belts. Interior sidewalls are 'reverse lozenge effect'
using colored pencils.

Engine and cowling were replaced with the Roseparts resin conversion cowling
for late model Fokker built D.VII(F's). The wheels and propeller are also from
the Roseparts range of resin bits.

Control surfaces were all cut out and re-positioned in operating status.

Struts all replaced with scratchbuilt rod and/or "Contrail" strut stock
material.

"Lozenge" pre-printed fabric camouflage decals are "Americal/Gryphon brand",
the balance of the markings are painted (all National markings), or "ALPS"
computer printed (serials and weights tables).

Paints are "Humbrol" and "Aeromaster enamels." exclusively. Weathering is with
pastels and "Prismacolor" colored pencils.

The rigging is stretched sprue, fixed with white glue and painted.
