1/72 Scale "Revell" kit

Cockpit basis is a "Roseparts" models fold-up photo-etched set. Additional
detailing accomplished with styrene sheet, rod, stripe, stretched sprue, wire,
and photo-etched seat belts.

Control surfaces were all cut out and re-positioned in operating status.

Engine cowling louvers and panel lines were all re-done.

Struts all replaced with scratchbuilt and/or "Contrail" strut stock material.

Lozenge camouflage and National markings are "Americal/Gryphon decals", balance
of the markings are Superscale and others.

Paints are "Humbrol" and "Pactra Intl." exclusively. Weathering is with
pastels and "Prismacolor" colored pencils.

Scratchbuilt cockpit, using plastic sprue, rod, strip, sheet, & wire details.

Modified "Aeroclub" Mercedes 160hp white metal engine replaces undersized kit
item. Cowling enlarged and exhaust piping replaced.

All control surfaces were cut out and repositioned.

'Candy striped' wings are painted. Fuselage is Fokker's typical early streaked
camouflage represented with colored pencil under the lightly over sprayed red.

The balance of markings/decals are "Blue Rider" items, except for the lozenge 4
color which is partially repainted Microscale.

All struts were replaced with Contrail strut stock, and others greatly thinned
to more of a scale thickness.

Rigging is painted stretched sprue. Control horns are plastic rod - reshaped -
replacing kit details.

Paints are Pactra Int'l., Humbrol, & Testors. Weathering was done using
airbrush (two shades of red), pastels, and "Berol/Prismacolor" colored pencils.

Engine was replaced with a correctly sized white metal "Aeroclub" Mercedes 160
HP piece. Additional piping, etc. was installed.

Control surfaces were all cut out and re-positioned in operating status.

configuration

Fokker streaking effect is "Humbrol" linen color under, with "Polly S" pullman
green acrylic streaking over.
