Kit: Joystick (1:72)
I chose this kit for my first attempt at building a vac biplane and it turned out to be a wise choice, it went together very nicely. Cockpits mostly scratchbuilt from plastic card and odds and ends, engine is from Roden. Most of the rigging is .005" Nitinol wire, the cables to the tail surfaces are invisible thread.
Joystick's 1/72 Halberstadt CL.IV finished with Aviattic lozenge decals and rigged with .005" Nitinol wire.
This is the Toko 1/72 scale kit done up as Udet's DIII. It's the first time I attempted to use lozenge decals and I used Eagle Strike's 5-color sheets. It is also my first attempt at using .005 stainless wire for rigging.
