Jack Gartner's Allied Models

This is one of the versions of "Vieux Charles", one of Lt. Georges Guynemer's mounts, built straight out of the box from the Eduard 1/48th scale non Profipack (what I call "Eduard Light") kit. I built this for an IPMS Journal Review (Vol. 11, No. 5, July/August 1999) so you can check out the particualrs there. I have heard that some folks believe that the black pennant behind the headrest was red, but Eduard's instructions said black, and I follow kit directions as exactly as possible for review articles, so black it is!
