Kit: Eduard/Flashback (1:48)
This is the 1/48 Flashback Sopwith Pup which is being done as 'Kiwi' from the 45th TS. Nice and stripey, and overall just a neat subject. I have done a bit to it as photos show: I added the cutout under the forward fuselage, and also the area in the tail that is uncovered. All of the markings are mine, as the roundel colors needed to match the paint colors and I thought that the kit decals were too light. I am having the Devil's own time doing the serials, but I reckon that I'll make them look decent. Oh, I replaced the turtledeck with steel wire, CA, and putty. It could look a little better, but it's an improvement over what the kit came with. And I added hypodermic tube guides for the stabilizer control lines. More pics of the completed bird will follow soon as it is nearly building itself!
