Fokker Dr.I

This model depicts a Fokker Dr.1 that was assigned to Jasta 2 in the Summer of 1918. The kit is the 1/48 DML issue, and the markings are from the AeroMaster 'Fokker Triplane Collection' sheet. The prop is hand-carved, the interplane struts are made of basswood, and the model is rigged with surgical wire. I admit that what appealed to me was the brilliant colors on this plane - very eye-catching!
